Lifesize bronze statue of Lemmy on Sunset strip

The true spirit of Motorhead always burnt bright whist they were on tour, taking audiences by storm with a live show hewn from the very fabric of rock n roll. In fact, after four decades of full throtle activity, Motorhead were still playing sold-out gigs around the globe.
Its only nine months since Lemmy’s passing with tributes and honours still flooding in but none more so than Lemmy’s adopted hometown of Los Angeles.

Inside the legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill on the Sunset Strip, they unveiled a lifesize bronze statue of Lemmy, paid for by fans. It can be seen in all its glory in the bar where Lemmy used while away the hours on his favourite slot machines.
An avid fan of the one-armed bandit he would passionately be seen pulling the lever, again and again, whiskey and coke in one hand, cigarette in the other.

Rumour has it that back in the day he got his name as he was constantly demanding of his friends ‘Lemme have a fiver” to continue playing. In celebration to the rock legend spinandwin.com are offering 100 free spins on their new Motorhead video game.
If you can make it to the Rainbow Bar & Grill on the Sunset Strip they have now remodelled their outside bar calling it Lemmy’s Lounge. If not charge the whiskey glass and raise a toast to one of the greatest rock n rollers ever.
The Hollywood Vampires dedicated the Motorhead song, Ace Of Spades, to Lemmy at the Grammy Awards and continue to play the song on tour in tribute to their friend.

The best way to remember Lemmy is in the vast catalogue of music he left behind. A new Motorhead live DVD/CD/Vinyl, Clean Your Clock, also came out in June, recorded at Lemmy’s last show only a month before he died. A fitting tribute to a rock God.
