American Airlines is partnering with Apple Music to give passengers access to millions of songs during their flights, the latest salvo in an ongoing race by carriers to improve on-board media offerings.
American’s arrangement will allow Apple Music customers to access the service for free using in-flight wireless internet. Those without an Apple Music account can sign up onboard to receive free access for three months.
The free Apple Music streaming will be available Feb. 1 on aircraft equipped with high-speed satellite Wi-Fi.
American and other airlines have been investing heavily in new free options for passenger entertainment during flights.
