Unpredictable, experimental and inventive, Luca Draccar is set to release his latest EP ‘Neo Noir Plaisir’ in November 2021. As the title suggests, the tracks delve into the dead of the night, prowling through the depths of moody atmospheres and dark, foreboding spaces. ‘Neo Noir Plaisir’ is an enticing body of work, dynamic in its storytelling and
contemporary production. Each song is cohesive, while remaining true to their own stories.
‘The Black White Palm’ opens with a single echoed note of an acoustic guitar, bending and morphing, while the dissonance of a sub bass pulses underneath. ‘Mouse in Trap’ wallows in an electric guitar, somewhere far off in the distance, playing around with distorted vocals. ‘Margot’ takes on a melodic approach, even cinematic at times, as the
gritty bass plays a prominent role in both rhythm and melody, surrounded by quick paced
hi-hats and dramatic beats. Each track is accompanied by fluttering textures, expressive synth sounds and curious rhythms.
Luca Draccar is a master when it comes to nightlife, a mysterious veteran DJ, creating
escapism for listeners who may find themselves in the darkness of underground
nightclubs.
