One week after the tragic mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, Sawyer Garrity, Andrea Peña, and their fellow students in Stoneman Douglas Drama wrote, arranged, and performed this piano ballad at a CNN town hall. “Shine” is a powerful tribute to the victims, demanding action from leaders and highlighting the students’ strength and resilience while raising funds for Shine MSD—a nonprofit founded to encourage survivors of violence to express themselves through art.
All proceeds from each sale of the track featured on this page will be donated to Shine MSD, Inc. (Marjory Stoneman Douglas) through the Broward Education Foundation.
