Stereobuzz talk to Lauren Howard in this exclusive interview

Who are some of your musical influences?

There are so many artists who inspire me, but to name a few who have really had the biggest impact on me, I’d have to say Sara Bareilles, Adele, Ariana Grande, Emily King and Hozier.

If you could collaborate with any artist who would you choose?

It would be an honor to work with any of my musical influences, but the first person to pop in my head is Ariana Grande. She is so inspiring, and I feel like I could learn so much from her journey as an artist and person. Ariana Grande is so unbelievably talented, and she never fails to amaze me with what she offers the world. 

“Real” What’s the song really mean to you?

 I have always felt out of place when it comes to how romantic “relationships” are nowadays. I’ve never understood spending all of your time and energy into someone, without any ties or obligation to be true to that person. “Real” is really my way of expressing my value for commitment and honestly in any relationship and how you should always be true to your heart.

What do you hope people take from your music when listening?

I hope people find a sense of comfort in my words and understand that there is always someone who can relate to what they’re going through. And if my music could be an escape or a way to cope for someone who’s had similar pain, that would be more than I could ever ask for. 

Any new music updates you like to share?
